Our House STL started in 2002 when I purchased my first home. While it was great to be a homeowner, I quickly discovered that home ownership can be expensive and living alone can be lonely. I posted an ad for a roommate and the space filled quickly. Thing were working out so well that we decided to advertise for a third - and things were even better!  We all enjoyed the social, economic and environmental advantages of living in a shared house and agreed that there were probably many other people out there who would enjoy a similar living arrangement.  However, we were out of rooms.

I started looking around for another place where we could expand the concept and happened upon House II. It was set up under the same model and, sure enough, there was plenty of interest from people who wanted to live in a shared house community. 

The rest is pretty much history.  Great meals have been shared, creative ideas have been developed, we’ve all learned and grown, and amazing friendships have been formed between housemates who probably would have never met otherwise!
